About

Tracey Moffatt is arguably Australia's best known contemporary artist working across photography and video. From 1999 to 2009, Moffatt and her editing collaborator Gary Hillberg produced seven montage videos that survey the enduring dramatic modes and genres of Hollywood cinema. Re-editing and juxtaposing video clips, Moffatt's montage videos create ironic commentary on the clichés of modern life played out in cinema. Program curated by José Da Silva, Australian Cinémathèque.
