Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff (Groucho) has been freshly appointed head of Huxley College. His first order of business: recruit ringers for the college's flagging football team. Through a series of typically Marxian misunderstandings, Wagstaff comes into contact with the bootlegger Baravelli (Chico) and local dogcatcher Pinky (Harpo), all while attempting to seduce Connie Bailey (Thelma Todd), the 'college widow' girlfriend of his son (Zeppo). Horse Feathers is a frenetic farce that delivers a constant barrage of wordplay, absurdist humour and some of the Brothers' most memorable set-pieces.
