About
The Red Turtle is Academy Award-winning animator Michaël Dudok de Wit's first feature film and the first co-production between a European animator and Studio Ghibli. It follows a castaway who finds himself washed up on a deserted island. After thwarted attempts to leave, he succumbs to the transformational beauty, simplicity and awe of his island landscape. The Red Turtle is a film that explores what it means to be human through our relationship to the natural world.
