A fantastical, high-energy butt-kicker, The Heroic Trio is led by three of Hong Kong cinema's most dazzling stars in Maggie Cheung, Michelle Yeoh and Anita Mui. Directed by the legendary Johnnie To, the film blends wild wuxia action, explosive gunplay and fog machines cranked to the max for its comic book-style tale of a supernatural scheme that takes its three leads to sinister subterranean depths.
The nefarious eunuch Evil Master is demanding newborns to fulfil a prophecy and discover the next villainous Emperor. His main assistant is the conflicted Invisible Girl (Yeoh), while Cheung's Thief Catcher and Mui's Wonder Woman are determined to stop the raft of kidnappings. As their paths become one, they realise they're going to need to work together to put an end to the villainous conspiracy and save the babies — and the world.
