About
"As he wanders from one town to another in search of work as a performer, a struggling magician meets a young girl who is enchanted by his performance. This animated film is based on a script written by Jacques Tati in 1956 that was originally intended as a personal letter to his estranged eldest daughter but never produced. Animation artist Sylvain Chomet, the Oscar-nominated and critically acclaimed creator of The Triplets of Belleville, adapted the script and brought it to life in Tati’s distinctive, hand-drawn animated style, turning the main character into a version of Tati himself."
