About
When a renowned brain surgeon refuses to help increase the powers of a supposed lunatic who claims he can create objects and people with his mind alone, his life begins to unravel. Dogged by bewildering accusations of personal and professional misconduct, he realises a doppelganger has been created and decides to fight back. Based on a 1938 novel by Valdemar Holst, this rarely-seen Danish science fiction masterpiece boasts exquisitely composed Kubrickian cinematography and an icy atmosphere of creeping dread.
