About
A search for ‘Boonie’ (famous cricketer, David Boon) brings writer-director Ted Wilson closer to his Tasmanian family in this delicate and humorous reflection on familial relationships.
Moving back to Hobart from Melbourne, Ted is in search of a new direction in his life. Among their daily routines, Ted’s mother and siblings chat about his idea for a piece of literary non-fiction and seek out Launcestonians with connections to Boonie. Wilson's film deftly weaves sport, politics and the mundane pleasures of life into a broader existential canvas.
