Arkie, a.k.a Scarygirl, is an extraordinary inventor living with her giant octopus father in the Peninsula, a surreal seaside land of colourful corals and waterfalls, where they tend to plants and keep the ocean in balance. When a mysterious force begins sucking the lifeforce from their home and Arkie’s father is kidnapped by a tyrant, it’s up to her to rescue him and restore hope to her corner of the ocean. She is aided by the enigmatic Tree of Knowledge, a cranky crone, a bunny guru and a whole cast of unique, vibrant creatures. Based on the artworks and cult character created by Nathan Jurevicius and featuring the voice talents of Sam Neill, Tim Minchin and Deborah Mailman.
