Laura (Teo Vergara) isn’t a typical sloth – she’s a rambunctious young girl, working away in her sleepy family restaurant, yearning for life in the fast-lane. When a catastrophic storm destroys their village, the sloth family must relocate to the bustling metropolis of Sanctuary Cove with nothing but a food truck and a cookbook. Their mouth-watering Mexican cuisine quickly earns them devoted customers – and the ire of the nefarious cheetah Dotti Pace (played wonderfully by Leslie Jones), who is a fabulous yet failing fast-food entrepreneur. Dotti plots to steal their recipes for herself, and it’s up to Laura to protect the family dream.
